Level B1
Opening up new horizons
Goethe certificate B1 is a German exam which confirms intermediate language skills on the third level (B1) of the six-level competency scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
In our courses you will build up a solid foundation of the German language and will be able to engage in various communicative tasks. You will understand the main information, especially in familiar topics from everyday areas such as work, school or leisure. You will be able to handle most situations encountered when traveling in German-speaking countries and can express yourself in a simple and coherent manner. You will learn to narrate experiences and event, describe hopes and goals and provide short justifications and explanations.
Goethe certificate B1 is required if you want to attend a Studienkolleg (preparatory college) or want to live and work in Germany.

What you will learn on level B1.1
In our course B1.1 you will consolidate your intermediate skills and expand your vocabulary and grammatical knowledge. You can participate in conversations on familiar topics, express opinions, and understand the main points of texts related to your areas of interest.

What you will learn on level B1.2
In our course B1.2 you will learn to engage in more complex conversations, express yourself fluently on a wide range of topics, and understand detailed texts. At B1.2 you will have acquired a solid command of the language but may still encounter challenges with more complex language structures and nuanced expressions.
B1.3

What you will learn on level B1.3
B1.3 represents the higher or advanced stage of the B1 level. At this stage you will have a more sophisticated grasp of the language. You can engage in discussions on various topics, express yourself with greater accuracy and fluency, and understand a wide range of texts, including those with more abstract or specialized content.
