Level A1
Your first steps to learn German
Goethe certificate A1 is a German exam which confirms basic language skills on the first level (A1) of the six-level competency scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
In our courses you will build up basic knowledge of the German language and will be able to conduct simple conversations (e.g. introducing yourself and others, talking about shopping, work etc.) by using and understanding frequently used expressions and sentences.
Goethe certificate A1 is required if you want to apply as an Au-Pair in Germany and for family reunification processes.

What you will learn in module A1.1
Our course A1.1 lays the foundation for learning the German language. In A1.1, basic knowledge is imparted in the areas of vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. Learners can understand and use simple everyday expressions.

What you will learn in module A1.2
In our course A1.2, your knowledge and skills are further developed. More vocabulary and grammatical structures are introduced to enable communication in various everyday situations. You can engage in simple conversations and understand and reproduce information on familiar topics.

What you will learn in module A1.3
A1.3 represents the advanced stage of the A1 language level. Here, you are enabled to communicate in additional everyday situations and expand your language skills. You can read longer texts, perform simple writing exercises, and participate in short dialogues.
